As was the case yesterday, while the majority of the smoke is forecast to get above the Mogollon Rim, some smoke may get caught below the rim. As a result, light with brief periods of moderate smoke impacts are forecast throughout the day in Payson and the surrounding Rim Country (Star Valley, Kohls Ranch, Whispering Pines, etc).

Overnight, smoke is forecast to settle into the Rim Country and drain into Camp Verde, with moderate smoke impacts forecast overnight. Smoke that does settle into the low-lying areas is forecast to lift by 9:30 am Monday.
