There is a continued chance of thunderstorms along the Mogollon Rim, which could push strong gusty outflow winds through the fire (mainly from the north/northeast) this afternoon. These winds could result in smoke moving in any direction.

Overnight, smoke is forecast to settle into the Rim Country and drain into Verde Valley, with moderate smoke impacts forecast overnight. Smoke that does settle into the low-lying areas is forecast to lift by 9:30 am Sunday.

Tomorrow, conditions will remain similar; however, westerly winds are forecast to increase, which will allow smoke to disperse further downwind of the fire to the east.
