Synopsis & Discussion
Forecaster: -R. Nicoll
Ozone was once again in the Good AQI range yesterday due to southerly winds all afternoon. Winds may not be quite so consistent out of the south today, which may allow ozone to reach into the Moderates. Ozone is forecast to bounce between the upper-Good and lower-Moderate range the next several days. Lower ozone is expected when winds are forecast to be predominately out of the south, and a little higher ozone is forecast when we may see winds briefly switch out of the west.

Looking at PM10, tomorrow is the main day to watch as strong southerly winds out of the Gulf are expected. Winds are forecast to be up around 15-20 mph gusting to 25 mph during the morning hours, which is forecast to kick up a little dust and likely cause PM10 levels to reach the Moderate AQI category. As for the rest of the forecast period, it is unlikely we will see strong enough winds to cause any dust issues. Therefore, we forecast Good PM10 levels for the rest of the period.
