Synopsis & Discussion
Forecaster: -S.DiBiase
Not quite as windy on Friday but just enough to keep things mixed up and lower the PM10 levels to where the dust risk forecast is moderate. Hidden Valley is the area of concern over the weekend as light morning winds, temperature inversions play their part in providing favorable conditions for elevated PM10. Local dust activities and associated controls will determine whether or not the PM10 health standard is exceeded at Hidden Valley. As a precaution have issued high dust risk forecasts for Saturday and Sunday. Slightly less favorable winds on Monday and Tuesday should help keep Hidden Valley below the health standard, thus moderate dust risks forecasted.
